It came with a sunken middle, looked home made indeed ;o). Its crust was just nice, not too thick and flaky, it was quite good. This is more along the lines of an original egg tart rather than the Portuguese Egg Tart.
Next to the egg tart stall was the wantan noodle stall. The lady was busy preparing bowl after bowl as orders were coming in. When the noodles arrived, I realised what was probably the pull factor (apparently they sell out quite fast!). It was the lovely char siew (bbq pork)! The noodles and wantan itself were nice but still ordinary. The nicest wantan I had is from Sec 17, while I like the noodles from K. Intan (behind Happy Mansion - will blog on that later). So for wantan noodles with the best char siew, Hock Lim gets the vote from me.
Lyn ordered the curry noodles and I had a taste of the soup. It was pretty good too and Lyn said that she liked it.
At one corner of the coffeeshop, there is a stall selling all sorts of biscuits and tidbits. This is a pretty interesting coffeeshop with good food and snacks to boot too!
Mmm....I gotta start shopping for gifts soon. 3 days and counting till Christmas....I hope I'll catch the spirit in time!

tonixe : Well, I didn't really try this one but you try and let me know your verdict.
holymookie: Hey there, yeah, quite a lot. But you can visit anytime. Do check out my other blog too! Enjoy the feast!
I used to eat at the wantan mee shop at least once a week due to my ex-boss' obsession with the wantan mee. To me ok only some more small portion. Best food around there is this birdshit shop that serves famous seafood porridge (don't know what the fuss, ok only pricey), good panmee & authentic Penang prawn mee, esp. the prawn mee! Gets thumbs-up even from my critical Penang ex-colleague. I miss the prawn mee the most after I quit.
Jo : Eat at the 'birdshit' shop?????
Looks really good, where exactly is this shop?
yes. They put tables & chairs outside the walkway, nowhere to sit inside the shop. But trees there are full of birds resting on branches, so every often some diners will kena bird droppings. No kidding. That's the risk u have to take to eat there. When we decide to go there for lunch we just say "let's go to birdshit today."
boo : It's one of those coffeeshops that's within the area facing the MPPJ building. We parked at the multi-storey carpark and walked there.
Jo : Don't know whether I want to take such "shitty" risk! LOL!
Hey, if you want to try Jo's birdshit place I can take you! I go there quite often for breakfast and have never once kena any of those blessings!???? Yes, the prawn mee is supposed to be famous, as well as the lala or fish porridge (ok, can have the lala since you not a kucing). The place is also known for its braised duck at night!
Lyn, thanks for the offer. Will take you up on it surely! Hee hee....
