Andalas Corner, Klang (Halal)

Another place that I like to hang out at night when I'm in Klang is at Andalas Corner. Located within the Taman Rakyat, this cafeteria serves all sorts of food. From western to local; all sorts of noodles, satay, nasi lemak, chicken chop and so on. I like this place here as it is truly al-fresco dining, within the park and next to a man made lake. On breezy nights, it's so nice to be sitting and dining out in such an open area.

I usually order the Mango Slurpee for those warm nights as it's nicely blended and really keeps me cool with the current heatwave!

As for food, I usually order the nasi lemak with sotong (cuttlefish) as I love the sotong here as it's really spicy (Oh, the black pepper chicken chop is not bad too). The rice is nice, cooked with just the right amount of coconut milk. They fry the egg with some margarine, so if you are not keen, do tell them to leave that out when you order. I prefer it sunny side up without margarine.

At Taman Sri Andalas area, Andalas Corner is located on Jalan Tun Ismail (further down after the fire station), it's a great place to wind down for the day. I just love the wide open space here; catching the breeze.

The really nice breezes blow through my body and into my soul. ~ Astrid Alauda

Mango Slurpee! Does it have pieces of pomelo sacs in there? I tried some kind of mango slushy before-looks almost like this slurpee with mango and pomelo pieces. Refreshing!

Alamk, nasi lemak!! (I learnt this phrase from my new blogger friend, Food r Glorious).
This nasi lemak reminds me of the ones we always have in Taman Gembira. My whole family loves it.

Why didn't my brother or relatives take me to this place to makan ah? **Scratch head, puzzled**

wmw, eh, can't help noticing your new photo. Is that your ear? How many holes lei?

My daughter wanted to have a third one done on the upper ear without telling me. Somehow, I decided to read her Bebo and found out that she was going to have it done the next day. Of course lah, I blah, blah, blah..... :)

Painful or not?

kok : Looking at the pic yah, but I like it...like burnt rice in the claypot too.

Judy : I have 4 on my right ear and two on my left. Surprisingly not painful. So, you letting her pierce an extra earhold or not? :o)

Klang : I only started venturing to Klang about 6 years ago...can see it developing but the traffic and some drivers are quite notorious. Ha ha ha...

sc : Some pics are smaller while some are bigger, but overall, my pics are usually this size.

catsndogs : I have tried Tang Lin before, before they shifted to that stall. I use to enjoy eating Tang Lin nasi lemak sitting under the trees. The nasi lemak used to be even better before they moved!

Hahaha.. your ear photo self-shot ah?

So how does al fresco dining in Msia compare with Spain?

I luuurve nasi lemak. I think I want to have nasi lemak every single day until I leave. I'm hoping to get sick of it, so I won't miss it too much!! LOL

How come I wasn't told of this place? To think I always tell my mum I'm so running out of ideas on where to eat in Klang. Nasi Lemak, my mum's favourite. Thanks WMW. Now I know where to take her to.

kat : My nephew took the shot of my ear :o). That is an interesting theory, let me know if it works.

Lee Ping : Yah, a lot of changes. Not only in Klang but all around.

ilene : You go to Klang often? Well, even if the food doesn't rock your boat, the place is nice and breezy (unless it's a still night!).

boo_licious : When ??? Like I told Precious P. Just say when...he he he..
