Yellow

Woke up this morning, got ready and put on my yellow blouse. Sweet was in hers too and we made our way to TTDI for the service. Jen made us all a bookmark with another pic of hers in her yellow dress with these words at the back :-

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free;
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
If my parting has left a void;
Then fill it with remembered joy.
My life's been full, I savoured much;
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me;
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Tears started streaming down my face when I read that, it was hard not to cry. Then came the time to pay our respect to Jen and as we walked around her, I could not hold back my tears, the whole batch of school friends all cried along with the some of the people who had turned up at Kristus Aman. Sweet and I then made our way to the crematorium. After the hymns, we laid the yellow roses on Jen and bid our final farewell, we started crying all over again. I then wished her well in her new life and told myself that I should not be crying anymore. With that, Jen left us behind to continue with her new life at her new home while we continue with ours here on earth.

It's March 21st, it's also your birthday Jen. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN! Truly your birthday!
