After lunch, we boarded our bus again and made our way to Mohamed Ali Mosque, located at Citadel. Here are some pics I took of this pretty place.
I felt a sense of calm here; dimly lit and silence all around...the only thing one can hear is probably the clicking of cameras. Hahaha....
When we left this area and headed towards our bus, we came across a stall that sells all sorts of nuts. We were so taken in by the large selection available (unlike our conventional kacang putih man's stall), the bunch of us made the owner of this stall a happy man as he pocketed our money
I only noticed this later...protruding upward and open pipes were turned into makeshift "nutshell" bin.
We then had a buffet spread for dinner at Happy Dolphin Restaurant. The place looked promising as we entered but alas, we had a familiar line up as far as the food is concerned. Hahaha....So, here we go...
One thing to like about this restaurant is the view of River Nile...at least the sight of this river ended the night on a beautiful note.
To Be Continued ...
I would love to visit someday. Thanks for taking us on the virtual journey.

j2kfm: "THE" nuts were delicious and really fresh! Heehee
Nic : Yes, "THE" nuts were a hit!
unkaleong : Didn't bungkus balik....it was too early in the journey and we thought the paperbag might not last till the end of our 12 day tour.
buzzingbee : Thanks for the compliment and linking me. I'm not sure about the first part of the trip as that was a company trip. But the extended 7 Days 6 Nights Tour which covers the souther part of Egypt (plus Nile Cruise) was another RM2300. Sedunia Travel did the arrangements for us and they did a good job.
imbi & itchy : Not much to feature when it comes to food... :(
mama bok : And will you go back again???
terri : Hahha...thanks, The River Nile is amazing! If you haven't, it 's a place one must put on their "lifetime" travel list.
durianberry : As much as I wanted to, not enough cash if buy all. Each type, small pack RM12 wor. Hehe...
Jun: Thanks! And where will you, doc, be heading next to? :o)
ReplyDeleteVince, SC : Thanks. I'm using a Nikon D80, still rather new to it :o).
Jackson : Got...remember what we talked about?
Sugar Bean : Thank you...it's a beautiful place but I see a lot of poverty too. More stories on that later...
Jason : You playing games alone or with someone ;o)?
Wonda : Yah, we got treated to some belly dancing!
NKOTB : Egypt has its mysterious ways...
ilene : No, we didn't have to cover ourselves. We were advised to wear long sleeves clothing and nothing "flesh" showing like some plunging neckline clothes. If one did, that can be just covered up with a shawl.
kampungboycitygal : Backpack??? Who's that? Boy or gal??? I think if that's you gal...have to think hard. Carrying enough moisturizer and sunblock lotion around will probably kill our backs! Hahaha....
wow oh wow! that's really beautiful of egypt! really wish i could witness these myself
ReplyDeleteai wei : Can...go for a holiday in Egypt! :o)
