Open 24 Hours!
The outlets share a similar design and exudes a cozy ambiance (unless you go to one located at a tourist spot like the one in Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls! Busy, busy, busy!). See those large cans on the left? Those are the famous Tim Hortons Fine Grind Coffee made from Arabica beans, 1.1 kg pack going for $16.99. Is Tim Hortons coffee as good as they say?
Well, I tried the Ice Coffee with Cream ($1.39 for a small cup) and loved it. It's milky and still delivered the kick start that every good cup of coffee should :o)
Their donut display reminds me of Dunkin' Donuts (unlike J.Co/Big Apple/Krispy Kreme which display the donuts upfront over a glass covered counter.

Donuts! Donuts! Donuts! Which to choose....Well, I was after all in Canada, so naturally I chose...
Canadian Maple! The fried donut (light and fluffy-but not to the extent that I can "die"!) has a usual standard light cream filling and a thick layer of aromatic maple syrup glaze. It's this maple glaze that made this a true delight for me. Seriously good stuff ...
And then, there's Timbits!
We bought a pack of 10 bite sized donut balls (they have a pack for 20 or 40 too). Timbits are available in several varieties but we opted for just the Old Fashion Glazed ones. Great fun biting into them....
Well, there are "healthier" options to try out at Tim Hortons....
Here's the Turkey Bacon Club Sandwich ($4.59) ....
It's simple and yet flavourful, with a clean healthy feel to it. You get a slice of smoked turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes with honey mustard sauce and a choice of white or whole wheat bun.
Even simpler, there's the Egg Salad Wrap ($1.50)
On the inside, there's lettuce and chopped eggs. The chopped eggs were tasty with just the right amount of light mayo, salt, pepper, onion and diced celery served wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla.
We also tried a meatier wrap - Chicken Ranch Wrap ($2.00), seasoned white chicken strips with ranch dressing with lettuce and tomato. I preferred the Egg Salad Wrap as it was more moist...hence the better choice (unless you're not an egg fan). Hahaha...and this reminds me of something else I came across a few years back. If you are an egg fan like me, check out this website I Love Egg! Cute stuff...especially the I Love Egg Song!
Have a great and egg-citing week ahead (couldn't resist it, hehe...)

My favorites are their famous apple fritter, and Tim Horton's hot chocolate.
