"Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy" - Bar Madrid humour. Just the place to unwind to Spanish melodies & Sangria and enjoy Spanish cuisine. Ahhh...reminds me of my 2 weeks in Spain.
Iberico Confitado (RM17.90) - Slow cooked Iberico cuts on baguette.
Tender, tasty and with red wine reduction - this is one "sophisticated" tapas. Great stuff!
Spanish Omelette "Tortilla Espanola" RM9.00 - with ham and cheese, this dish looked and fared average against the Iberico cuts.
Jamon Serrano Croquetas (RM15.90) - Mini fried potato balls with Serrano ham filling with cheese milk. A must order for cheese/milk lovers (best eaten warm!). Loved the light crisp exterior with the soft centre :o)

Fortunately, our stomachs were able to take a breather as we were in Divino for a wine tasting session and not to eat their western & fusion cuisine. For those who would like to do some wine shopping, there's also the Pristine Wine Shoppe that carries the finest selections of both Old (Europe) and New (outside of Europe) Worlds.

Black Cottage Pinot Noir 2008 (New Zealand) - floral, spice and cherry notes, goes with red meat & pasta
Ken Forrester Pinotage 2008 (South Africa) - great for happy casual occasions with a slice of pizza or BBQ
Cape Campbell Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc 2009 (New Zealand)
Juno Shiraz 2007 (South Africa) - spicy and pairs well with highly flavoured dishes like roasted venison & baked dishes incorporating beef, beans & lentils.
I have always preferred white over red wine as I'm a novice in this area and enjoy a lighter taste as compared to the usual drier red wines. So, obviously I favoured the Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc (which was awarded the Gold Medal in the NZ International Wine Show 2009). With a fruity flavour, it goes well with seafood and salad.
