Signature Dishes : Pomelo Yam Som O, Deep friend Boneless Fish with Tamarind Sauce - Pla Sam Rod, Tom Yum Prawn - Tom Yum Gong
Lovely deco adorns the wall of Kinnaree and sets the mood well for a cosy and relaxed dining experience. I like the way they had set the table and made us looked forward to tasting the Thai food here.
Pomelo Salad (Yam Som O) RM 16 - spicy pomelo salad with shrimp, chicken and cashew nuts. This is a tasty dish that is strong in flavour and though it's a salad, I had to eat it with some rice to cut down the intensity of the taste.
Deep fried Boneless Fish with Tamarind Sauce (Pla Sam Rod) RM40 for Tilapia, RM60 for Garoupa. Since this was deep fried and served nugget style, I tried a bit and found it rather nice as it was covered with the tamarind sauce.
Crying Tiger - Grilled Australian Ribeye with Spicy Thai Sauce (Ser Rong Hain) RM32. It's called Crying Tiger as the spicy Thai Sauce (or chilli used) should be hot enough to make one howl like a tiger or bring tears to the tiger's eyes :o). There could be other more logical references as none of us howl like a tiger when we tried this dish. With the sauce served on the side, the medium cooked ribeye slices were oddly a tad tough.
*Packs bag and follows the rest as I'm not sure exactly where we are heading to!*
MUSE - my first impression is that it's a bar, but as it turns out - it's also a restaurant that dishes out Italian cuisine; a club that one can party and chill out while the DJ spins his grooves; a gallery that is dedicated to contemporary art! Obviously, I was rather surprised as we sat down in the dim green lit area and tried out the food there.
4 season @ MUSE (RM38++) - Ultimate pizza with 4 different toppings (seafood, chicken, lamb and tomato & cheese). Being a lamb lover, I enjoyed the lamb topping the most as it was flavourful while the rest were the usual run-of-the-mill taste to me).
Angel Hair Seafood Aglio Olio (RM28++) - Angel Hair pasta with fresh seafood tossed with herbs and spices. Angel Hair pasta is lovely but tricky to cook as it's easy to overcook them as it was with this dish here. While the pasta was too soft, the flavour was good as the herbs and spices were adequate while it was a tad oily for me.
Grilled Lamb with herbs (RM45++) - Grilled Lamb Loin with herbs accompanied with baked garlic clove and sauteed vegetables topped with MUSE's Italian herbs sauce. While some found the lamb tough, a few of us were fortunate to get a better cut and hence had a better experience. The lamb was well marinated and was delicious! Like I said earlier...I love lamb :o)

Brussels Beer Cafe offers more than 30 types of imported beers. I've been here on numerous occasions (click HERE to read my earlier visit to Brussels), this is a great place to chill-out. This time round though, I tried something new. Being our last stop, we were obviously very full from all the "intake" from the previous 5 establishments. The staff recommended that I try Blackthorn Cider (1/2 pint RM16) which is made with whole pressed apples fermented by the wild yeasts present on the skin. It contains apple concentrate, sugar and sweeteners and is fermented with a controlled yeast strain. I quite enjoyed it and it definitely helped my system to "digest" better! Hahah....
*Packs up camera into bag and "happily" heads home for the night*
Thanks again Ramesh and team for inviting us and organizing this Jaya One foodcrawl :o)
