Friday Quick Bite Series : Kafe Mee Jawa @ Solaris Dutamas

It's Friday! Another round of Friday Quick Bite ...  Been hanging around near my office of late and with the ever increasing number of eateries that have been cropping up (and some gone... R.I.P.), we are totally spoilt for choice.  As they say, it is not that we have no choice in life, it's whether we make the right or the wrong choice in life.  Such as it was that we made the right choice, when we walked around Solaris Dutamas/Publika area searching for a quick meal.  Following SYee and Cadence around, we ended up in Kafe Mee Jawa.  And when you're at Kafe Mee Jawa, what do you order? Mee Jawa of course!

It's been awhile since I last ate Mee Jawa and I found myself liking Kafe Mee Jawa's serving.  At RM8.90, it is quite reasonably priced as it's a rather big plate.  With condiments like tauhu, sambal sotong (cuttlefish), half of a boiled egg, cracker (keropok), generous topping of vegetables, complete with crushed peanuts and a wedge of lime.  Their cut chillies are rather hot and I prefer these cut chillies whenever I eat the Mee Jawa rather then their sambal chilli as I find them more fragrant.  All the ingredients come together to make a tasty ensemble.

I've been back again to Kafe Mee Jawa, still ordering their Mee Jawa - complete with my refillable Green Tea (RM2.80), it's one satisfying meal for me! Oh, go for a side order of Cucur Udang, ... it's a yummy snack and goes well with the Mee Jawa too!  Kafe Mee Jawa serves other type of noodles and rice dishes too (like Prawn Mee, Fried Kway Teow ...) if Mee Jawa isn't something you like. As for me ... Mee Jawa it is!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

So many eateries and so little time. Been a while since I ate the Mee Jawa here. I usually eat their outlet in Pavilion KL.

Have a good weekend WMW!

I love the hanging baskets used as lamp shades. Ambience is half of the meal.
