Almost a wordless post. Just the sights and scenes around Egypt, this time in Alexandria. As usual, do click on the highlighted words from more info (linked to Wikipedia).
There were stalls located along the way as we made our way to the Citadel of Qaitbay but we had no time for that.
Inside looking up - Citadel of Qaitbay, Alexandria
Guess what we had for lunch...yet again.
I still had room for more food as some of you would know that I'm not a fish fan!

I did find something that I absolutely love in Egypt, their fruit juices. The strawberry juice is fresh and it's so thick, the straw stands! It's about RM9 per glass (best was at Athenus Restaurant). I tried the mango juice also which is just as nice.
There are quaint cafes along the streets like this one, very much tempted to stop by for a cuppa.
But Egypt is a dusty/sandy place (not all the time), and looking at how these parked cars were, I had second thoughts about drinking at cafes located by the road :o).
To be continued ...

Wow...great pictures! The ruins look so majestic. Gazing at them, one is almost transported back in time to the Age of the Pharoahs!
A feast, everday: Thanks, I used the kit lens 18mm-155mm.
Penangtuapui : Hahaha...thanks for your suggestion. I sometimes change the colour depending on the background but red is usually the colour I stick to. I have my reasons for using that at the moment. One day though....thanks again.
Precious P : Yup, no other choice that day! :o(
pureglutton : Thanks for the compliment and for dropping by.

so thick, the straw stood straight? haha, funny I sense some obscenity ... =P
but your photos really brought the exotic Egyptian feel to life ...
Incredible pics! I never know it's that dusty. Look at the cars... OMG.
We couldn't help thinking since they practically have nothing much else to do many hot and dusty thousand years ago except bathing in the long shallow Nile and putting immaculate whitish make ups , those purring Cleopatra types must have imagined and insisted on having those many made-up titty sharp structures whicha they din have themselves codenamed Pyramids nearby and then also those big long thing straight up as subtle reminders to their drunken un-upright usually downcast Emperors of what shud might have been .
So is it correct or not dear ancient traveller ? O time travelling witness ? You can yet solve our unsolved mystery TQ vm
the 5th pic looks so unreal..! brilliantly taken la..i can only imagine..still hands and a good dslr..shit..no ned to even buy tripod!
what's more i can say, another WOW here. amazing, i love ur photos a lot
n... those cars are real dusty. guess they need to car-wash everyday e?!
lianne : Hahaha...don't mind checking it out, but let me get over my craving for local food first.
mama bok : Yah, who would have thought that they serve such wonderful fresh fruit juices in Egypt!
Nic : Now only you know why, didn't I say it often enough (four times already since this is Part 4!). Hahaha...
SC : Didn't get sunburn but got really dark. Kept putting sunblock lotion :)
jeromefo : Hey, thanks for dropping by again. Yah, guess people there are probably frustrated in keeping their cars clean. LOL!
j2kfm : Aiyah, no double meaning lah...this is a PG rated blog (or should I would want people to think, muah ha ha....)
NKOTB : Hahaha...Yalor, no need to wash car like that. Haha...
Team BSG : This is the first I heard of such tales...so, I can't confirm whether it's right or not but there're some logic to it. Hahaha...Your minds sure works in mysterious ways hence the understanding of mysterious Egypt, eh???
Joe : The 5th pic of the fortress Citadel of Qaitbay with all that people??? Why is that unreal??? I'm puzzled now. Do let me know but thanks for the compliment.
ai wei : Thanks...aiyah, if I live there, I would probably wash my car with water only...spray clean, no soap, no scrubbing. Too much work and might scratch paintwork with the grains of sand/dirt :o)
Love your picture as always..How you carried your bulky camera wt hot weather?.Now I fallin love wt your camera, amazing photo!!
Lolx.No problems =) Will drop in here from time to time. Only great blog worth to visit.
Wahlau, it's not worth getting a car in Egypt!
There's so much to see...
You captured their architecture so beautifully! Ooh I like their cafe. Almost like Paris, but with extra serving of sand :P
Thanks for sharing the photos, they look so pretty. Would want to visit this place if I have the chance. The cars are really dusty, haha!
beachlover : Wah! Thank you for the compliment. Well, it was "dry" hot weather so that helped a bit (don't know if I can even use the word help, hahaha...)
Jeromefo : :o), thank you!
Jason : Hahaha...nolah, not worth the effort of cleaning your car more like it.
Cynthia : It's really quite surreal.
durianberry : Hahaha...I would love the chance to say this if we order a burger by the roadside "Gimme a burger with everything on it but hold the sand!" Hee hee...
SugarBean : Yah, I wouldn't want to stand still too long in one spot :o)
I see someone has a new toy :P and it's very evident from the super wide angle of photos lol. The cafe is really beautiful.. there's no way in Malaysia we can find such a restaurant..
