It's time once again for another Friday Quick Bites post! I like the simplicity and the clean look of Kissaten and enjoy dining here. It's one of those places where you still have the bliss of enjoying one's meal amidst the pleasant ambiance and yet don't have to speak in hush tones, you know what I mean?
While much has been said about their Char Siew Pizza, my highlight is on something else. I am a creature of habit sometimes when it comes to ordering the same dish when I dine at the same place. But only for certain restaurants ... while at other times I might feel adventurous and try something new! However for Kissaten, I'm the former - when I come here, I end up ordering Teriyaki Chicken Onsen Tamago all the time.
Ahhh...here it is! The Teriyaki Chicken Onsen Tamago Pizza(RM23.90) - shared by two . Maybe it's the egg that gets to me each and every time. The Onsen (hot spring) Tamago (egg) is almost perfectly done the way it should be ... half cooked; with the yolk being slightly firmer than the egg white itself. To me that's the highlight of this pizza and with the added toppings - teriyaki chicken, nori (dried seaweed), spring onions and mayonnaise on the thin crust pizza, it makes my lunch/dinner a sweet satisfying one.
Oh yes ... it's the egg :o) and that's why I keep ordering this whenever I'm here in this Japanese style cafe (which is what Kissaten means in Japanese)
Have a great weekend everyone!
