Happy Eating on Mondays!

The weekend has gone and we are faced with another Monday. Though my days as tourist are over and I have to face reality since coming back home, I have my photos to thank as I look back at them with really fond memories. Back in San Francisco...I was excited seeing new products on the shelves like those that I blogged on earlier, check them out HERE. So, to face this Monday head on I need to remind myself of this :o), well either that or head out for a roti canai/nasi lemak breakfast!

Land of Chips!
While roaming in the land of chips, I found these on the shelves...

100 Calorie Packs
Now, surely this is good stuff! Cookies and candies in 100 calorie packs! :o) I fell for them hook, line and sinker!

100 Calorie Packs
A shot of how the packs look like ...

Oreo Candy Bites
The Lorna Doone biscuits were just okay to me but Oreo's Candy Bites were pretty good. Chocolate coated mini round Oreo biscuits, how can that go wrong? Well, one can easily finish a pack of these in one go - and there you would have clocked in your 100 calories. Errr...unless you decide to have all 6 packs in the box at one go! Hahahaha.....

Haagen-Dazs Coffee
Haagen-Dazs new range "five" - "all natural ice cream crafted with only five essential ingredients for incredibly pure, balanced flavor ... and surprisingly less fat!"

Haagen-Dazs Mint
Ah....I like! Indulgence at 31% less guilt ;o). I found this range a whole lot smoother and as they say...the flavour was more natural, naturally :o)

Well, eating healthy is definitely easier in the States as compared to back home as they have lots for the consumers to choose from. As I have also said in my previous post, it's still relatively cheaper for them as compared to us, buying up "imported" stuff at the end of the day.

With bountiful resources and at reasonable prices... I have no qualms in making myself a tasty salad when I stayed in some days. Just look at the salad I made...

My Salad
The usual lettuce with almonds, cranberries, corn, chicken sausage and a poached egg....complete with balsamic vinaigrette dressing! Now this is a salad that I can eat often!

Well, there's still lots more for me to reminisce - meanwhile,
here's to a HAPPY MONDAY!

A trip to the supermarket in the US is a total adventure!! I love the sound of that Haagen Daz!! I'm afraid that is winning more points in my book than nasi lemak at this moment!!
